Ironing out the Reactor

Although we haven't posted in about two weeks, it has been very busy behind the curtains of Knowledge Reactor. After ironing out a few bugs here and there I decided to write an update, let you all know how things are moving along. The Reactor is a fairly new website on the Internet and I don't expect many people visiting but it's good to know there is progress.

I have spent the last 2 weeks writing content for the website, some new tutorials here and there and a big 27-chapter beginners guide for a certain piece of 3D software that will remain a secret for now

During the process of writing the mentioned content, I had some major problems with article URLs being rewritten into their search engine friendly aliases. By trying to fix that I noticed a database back-up problem that I managed to "solve" (temporarily patch-up) with server support in an unusual way but it's still there, waiting for me to get my hands on it and try to solve it once and for all. The Reactor is currently using the sh404SEF Joomla extension which does all the URL rewriting of articles to "Search engine friendy" versions. In my opinion the component is not very stable for bigger ventures such as having a multilingual website so I expect more problems with it in the future.

That's all for now! We'll be writing more updates on the blog in October because business is going to pick up.
